On The Wireless

The Coops Review is on national radio – The Wireless from Age UK, to be precise!

If you’ve not heard it before, The Wireless from Age UK is radio for grown-ups, playing a great mix of music from the Fifties to the Eighties, as well as celebrity interviews and information.  You can listen to it on the internet or, if you’re in London or Yorkshire, on digital radio as well.  Just go to www.ageuk.org.uk for the full schedule and to tune in online.

I present Downtown, a late evening show at weekends – and on Sundays you can hear my One To Watch, when I review a film on either TV, DVD or at the cinema for the week ahead.  The show runs from 9 pm to 12 midnight, and One To Watch usually goes out at around 10.20 pm.  And, if you stay tuned for the rest of the show, you’ll be able to listen to The Eleventh Hour, my weekly arts feature between 11 pm and midnight.

This Sunday’s One To Watch is a DVD and it’s the gorgeous, Oscar nominated comedy, Julie and Julia, with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams.  And next week I’ll be previewing the 50th anniversary digital re-mastering of David Lean’s classic, Lawrence of Arabia.

So, I hope you’ll join me on The Wireless from Age UK!
