BBC Surrey BBC Sussex film review: telling a Tale Of Tales

11.40 on a Friday morning is set in stone in my diary.  It’s my weekly film review on BBC Surrey and BBC Sussex’s Danny Pike Show, when I chat about the week’s new releases at the cinema and the latest DVDs.

In the spotlight this week was the adult fairy tale portmanteau, Tale Of Tales, including a clip from my interview with one of its stars, Toby Jones.  And the other new release was feminist western, The Keeping Room.  On DVD, it was inevitably the super-anti-hero himself, Deadpool, and the beautiful Japanese drama, Our Little Sister.

You can listen live on your radio (BBC Surrey is on 104 FM/104.6 FM, while BBC Sussex is on 95.3 FM/104.5 FM/104.8 FM), on digital radio or online.  Or you can catch up with my film review here on the BBC website for the next 30 days.  Just scroll forward to 02:42:40 – unless you want to listen to the entire show, of course!

Next week’s big new release is The Secret Life Of Pets, while on DVD it’s Bryan Cranston on Oscar-nominated form in Trumbo.

Hope you can join me!
